World Book Day 2022
Thursday 3 March is World Book Day, celebrating the wonder of reading for pleasure. Even a few minutes a day spent reading with a child can make a huge difference to their development, and their future.
There are thousands of fantastic children's books available free here at the Library, with amazing illustrations and stories for all ages. So why not join us on World Book Day and beyond, and see what you discover...
DRESS TO IMPRESS!
Come along to the Children's Library on Thursday 3, Friday 4 or Saturday 5 March dressed as a character from your favourite book! We'll take a photo of your costume and our judges will decide on 3 WINNERS to be announced on Monday 7 March. The winners will receive £10 in book tokens. Need some costume inspiration? Check out the Wold Book Day website here.
We'll also have a special display on the Reading Tree in the Children's Library. Jot down your favourite books and add them to the tree to make a wonderful canopy of great reads!
