Open a world of reading with Sora
What is Sora?
Sora is a free award-winning digital reading app designed to empower primary and secondary students by giving them access to a vast collection of age-appropriate eBooks and eAudiobooks. Whether your child is an avid reader or just beginning to explore the world of books, Sora offers an engaging platform to help nurture your child's love of reading and learning.
Benefits
- Suitable content: We understand the importance of ensuring that the content your child accesses is suitable for their age group. That's why we have two separate collections – one for primary-aged children and another for secondary students. You can have peace of mind knowing that your child will only view materials appropriate for their educational level.
- Anytime access: Sora can be used not only during the school year but also during holidays and breaks. This means your child can download books and continue to read and learn, even when they're away from the classroom.
- It's free: The Sora collection is a separate collection to the Guille-Allès Library, specifically designed for school children. The collection is updated monthly, so your child has free access to all the new titles. Your child can borrow two books at one time and reserve one book too. Books are automatically returned, so there’s never any need to worry about overdue or lost books.
How to get started
- There are two ways to access Sora. Visit soraapp.com in a web browser or install the app from your app store of choice

- Sign in using your child’s username (based on the log in provided in school). Not sure what this is? Email [email protected]

- Close the book and go to your Shelf to see all your books
From there, you can tap Open Book or Open Audiobook to read or listen to the book. Tap Options to renew or return the book, get to your notes and highlights, and more.
