WEEK ONE

Wednesday 24 July - Interactive Stories

A fun, interactive storytelling event with a fairy tale theme! Most suitable for ages 1-5. No need to book, just come along and join in. 10:00-10:45 at St Martin's Community Centre. 

 
Thursday 25 July - Baby Social

Songs and rhymes for under 1s, followed by sensory play and tea & chat for the grown ups. Booking essential - book here. 10:30-11:30 in the Dorey Room on the second floor. 

 

Friday 26 July - Sensory Stories

Fun, interactive stories for children with additional physical, learning or sensory needs, and their families. No need to book, just come along and join in. 10:30-11:30 in the Rowswell Room on the second floor (lift accessible). 

 

Friday 26 July - Chatterbooks

Book club for chatty kids! Chat about your favourite books and join in with fun games and activities. Most suitable for ages 8-12. No need to book, just come along and join in. 16:00-17:00 in the Rowswell Room on the second floor.

Monday 29, Tuesday 30 & Wednesday 31 July - Street Festival Stories

Join us for a special storytime in Market Square as part of this year's Guernsey Street Festival. 11:00-11:30 each day.

 

Tuesday 30 July - Little Puffin Signing (CANCELLED)

Learn some signs with Steph from Little Puffin Signing - this session will focus on letters of the alphabet. We’ll use songs and books to make learning the signs super fun and interactive. Most suitable for ages 2+ or any primary school age children who want to learn to sign. Booking essential - book here. 10:30-11:00 in the Children's Library.

 

Thursday 1 August - Marvellous Makers Garden event

The Summer Reading Challenge theme this year is Marvellous Makers! Join us for a themed event with stories, rhymes and an activity trail around the garden at St Saviour's Community Centre. Most suitable for ages 1-5 but all welcome. No need to book, just come along and join in (in case of poor weather, we will move the session inside to the community centre hall). 10:00-11:00 at St Saviour's Community Centre, Neuf Chemin Road. 

 

Friday 2 August - Marvellous Makers Craft Festival

The Summer Reading Challenge theme this year is Marvellous Makers! Join us for a fun, creative morning of crafting and making - all materials are provided and there's no need to book, just come along and join in. Most suitable for ages 4-10 but all welcome. 9:00-12:00 in the Hayward Room on the second floor.

Monday 5 August - Community Library Crafts

Join us for a crafting session and make a cupcake case butterfly! All materials are provided. Most suitable for ages 3-10. Booking essential - book here. Two sessions to choose from 9:00-10:00 and 10:00-11:00 at La Nouvelle Maraitaine Community Library.
