Elf Stories during late night shopping
Look out for the festive Library Elf who will be out and about telling Christmas stories around town. 17:30-19:00 during late night shopping.
Tuesday 12 December
Christmas Elf Story Walk
Starting at the Liberation Monument at North Beach car park, our Storytelling Elf will be your guide as we follow the trail of a festive tale aroud town. Most suitable for children aged 6-10 but everyone is welcome. Starts at 18:30 - book here.
Saturday 16, 23, 30 December & 6 January
Family Stories
Come along every Saturday for Family Stories in the Children's Library at 11:00. In the run up to Christmas, stories will have a festive theme! No need to book. Suitable for all the family.
Tuesday 19 December
Christmas Stories in the Tower
Enjoy some festive tales and experience the magic of the Story Tower! Most suitable for children aged 4-8 but everyone is welcome. Booking essential due to limited space. Three times available 16:00-16:30, 16:45-17:15 or 17:45-18:15. Book here.
Friday 22 December
Little Puffin Signing
Come along for a signing session in the Children's Library 10:30-11:00. There will be books, songs and toys to help with learning the signs. This session is suitable for children age 2+. The session is free and booking is essential due to limited space. Book here.
Wednesday 27 December
Lego Community Build
In the Children's Library from 10:00-16:00. Suitable for all ages. No need to book, just drop in and get creative.
Thursday 28 December
Winter stories and crafts
Come along 10:00-11:00 in the Hayward Room for some winter themed activities. Enjoy stories, crafts, and a spot-it trail! No need to book, just join in the fun. Most suitable for children aged 4-8 but everyone is welcome.
Friday 29 December
Chatterbooks Book Club
15:30-16:30 in the Story Tower on the third floor of the Library. Talk about your favourite book and join in with some fun games! Suitable for children aged 8-12 years but everyone is welcome. No need to book, just come and join the fun.

Games Day
Drop into the Children's Library and play some games! Suitable for all the family. 10:00-16:00, no need to book.
Wednesday 3 January
Crafts at the Community Library
Come along to St Saviour's Community Centre for a crafting session and make a little snow person! Two times to choose from, 9:00-10:00 or 10:00-11:00. Most suitable for children aged 3-10 and their families but everyone is welcome. Booking essential - book here.
Thursday 4 January
Baby Social
10:30-11:30 in the Dorey Room on the second floor of the Library. Songs and rhymes for under 1s, followed by sensory play and tea & chat for the grown ups. Booking essential - book here.
Friday 5 January
Interactive Story Time
Come along to the Hayward Room for an interactive toddler storytime! 10:00-10:45 on the second floor. No need to book, just join in the fun! Most suitable for children aged 1-3 but everyone is welcome.
