What is Craftsy?
Craftsy gives you free access to online video tutorials and courses to help you learn a new craft. With over 20 categories and 1500 classes, choose from baking, yoga, woodworking, gardening, photography, sewing, quilting, jewellery making and so much more. Craftsy is a great way to learn a new hobby - start with the beginner classes then move on to the more advanced levels as you develop your new found skills.
Classes can range from 6 to 15 short step-by-step tutorials that you can work your way through. Each short tutorial within the class is clearly listed, so you can choose which tutorial to watch. Expand the video on your device and easily scroll through or pause each video at your own pace. You can even cast the video to a supported TV or device if you’d rather watch it on a bigger screen.
*Please note that ‘new arrival’ classes are not included in the library subscription.The app will advertise a purchase option to download tutorials permanently to your device. The library subscription does not include downloading tutorials, but does include on-demand video access when connected to the internet, along with PDF downloads for the course content.
How do I get Craftsy?
You can find Craftsy in the 'Extras' section of Libby. Libby can be downloaded as an app on your smartphone or tablet, or you can access it via a desktop. Once in Libby, log in using your Library card number and PIN - if you're not sure of your PIN click here to get a new one or contact us. You will then have 24/7 acccess to eBooks, eAudiobooks - scroll down the homepage to find the 'Extras' section with great additions including Craftsy!
